Tommy Trull is the author of the novels Black Wings, Can't You Hear Me Knocking?, and the award-winning plays Echoes of Mercy, Five Til Now, and Honeyboy. His poems have appeared in numerous literary magazines, including The Louisville Review and South 85. As a musician, he has played with the art-rock bands Leela Fiasco and Oil Can Harry, and released the solo album Songs in 2016.
I'm interested in both the operatic and the mundane. I write about bipolar disorder, death, and horror, but also about wine, good food, travel, clothing, and how difficult it is to take yourself seriously while wearing shorts. I may be something of a dilettante in that I don't specialize; poetry, music, painting, theatre, fiction ... crocheting, I guess ... these all draw me in.
I hope to keep this site going over the next number of years, as I have a long list of projects to work through and release. I intend to keep an occasional blog and maybe a newsletter. Cross your fingers. I have, after all, intended many things.
